INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) LAW

Intellectual Property (IP) Law protects certain ownership rights of creators of physical embodiments born from ideas. IP Law has the potential to address corporate abuse of human rights and the environment in many different ways. For example, IP licenses can condition corporate use of new technology on adherence to human rights and environmental standards through ethical IP licensing. Legal challenges to IP protections against the public interest can also advance corporate accountability on human rights.
